December 2012. This is the best news shortly before the year comes to an end. The munichfashion.company leases the MTC, House 1, with an overall space of circa 10.000 square metres – with the option to expand! – for the next ten years. This is a clear signal and commitment to the city of Munich, which is, next to the order business in Düsseldorf, the pivotal point in Central Europe.
Additionally, the successful company, with its headquarters in Grasbrunn, Bavaria, takes over the two order fairs Dessous and Kids, which also take place at the MTC twice a year. Thus, the munichfashion.company is now the largest exhibition organizer in the fashion segment in Germany.
Managing Director Hartmut Schade comments: “We have taken over the order fairs as well as other events of the MTC world of fashion GmbH in a good spirit of mutual understanding and are very excited about this big step towards the future. This will certainly bring a number of new, creative and unique events to the MTC.”
The take-over of the order fairs of the MTC world of fashion GmbH will not result in any organizational changes for the exhibitors. The next fairs inside the MTC will take place as scheduled in Spring 2013. Patricia Zwack and Bernadette Schreimel remain the contacts for the exhibitors, with their sales team remaining unchanged. Instead, the look and appearance of the two order fairs will be adapted to the overall concept of the munichfashion.company, which will certainly bring about a positive change and a significant appreciation.
Full Speed Ahead
Already in October 2012 the company made the joyful announcement to have signed a five-year contract with the B1 in Düsseldorf, with a space spreading over 4.000 square metres. Here, too, the team sets a clear sign to further strengthen Düsseldorf as the fashion hub.
“We as the organizers need the security of the locations to ensure further growth. For a permanent occupancy of the sites, it is crucial to have a long-term access to the venues, giving the industry and us, planning reliability. Therefore, we have decided to permanently lease in Düsseldorf and now in Munich”, says Aline Schade of the munichfashion.company.
A growing company always needs clever heads. A “new old” member of the munichfashion.company is on board again: the international sales manager Rose Latini supports the team on site in Munich, speaks various languages and is responsible for the international business operation.
